As they grew nearer the sea, the soil became more sandy and the air a little more salty. Soon the car stopped at the rental check-in site. Missy and Stu got out of the car for a few minutes. "Should we get out too?" asked CB. "No, we'll wait right here," said BP. "They'll be back in a few minutes, and then we'll go to the cabin."Check-in went smoothly, and the couple were back in the car driving to the cottage. BP and CB could see the sea between the houses as they drove along E. Beach Drive. "All the houses are on stilts!" exclaimed BP. "That's because the tide can get very high. The houses are on stilts so they won't flood," explained Missy. The family pulled into the driveway, and while Missy & Stu unpacked the car, the girls ran to the balcony looking out at the sea.
"Oh! I'm going to like this place!" squealed CB. "Me, too!" agreed BP, "Let's go help unpack, then we can go out on the beach." "Okay." So the girls helped unpack the car and put everything away. Soon they were outside walking around in the sand.
