Space Bears - Change of Plans

BP and CB were excited. They had come to Florida for Steve and Laura's wedding. Steve was their "brother", and they were looking forward to helping and watching the wedding. This would be the second wedding they had attended for one of Missy and Stu's children. They had spent several days traveling to Treasure Island for the wedding and had just spent several hours with the family.

Now that supper was over, and all the wedding party had returned to their hotel rooms, Missy, Stu, BP, and CB were relaxing. "Whew! It was neat to see everyone. I'm looking forward to Steve and Laura's wedding tomorrow," said BP. CB whispered, "Shhh!". "What?" asked BP. "Listen to Missy and Stu. I think they are changing some of our plans," answered CB.

"Since we are in Florida, what would you think of visiting St. Augustine and the fort?" asked Stu. "Where is it located?" asked Missy. "On the other side of the state. I was thinking that we could drive there, then head for home. You would love it." said Stu. "Let's look at the map," suggested Missy.

They spread the map out on the bed and began to study it. After a few minutes, Missy asked, "What would you think of going to NASA? The Kennedy Space Center is nearby, and I would really like to see it!" Stu agreed quickly. He had visited the center when he was a teenager, so he was all for visiting it again.

Stu got busy finding a hotel near the Kennedy Center in Titusville, preferably one with a jacuzzi room. He soon found one only a few miles from the center and made reservations.

"Cool!," said CB, "Maybe we can go on a flight! They are going to launch a shuttle soon." She and BP talked about being the first bears in space until they both fell asleep. Their dreams were filled with visions of walking in space, on the moon, and visiting other galaxies.
