2007/10/18 My, oh my! It's been a long time since I entered my thoughts! We have been so very, very busy. All of the next two generations will be in town this weekend, so the house will be extremely full with (at least) 18 people! Missy is very much looking forward to getting pictures of the whole clan. She is planning to throw a surprise Congratulations party for three of the boys. It had occurred to her that these boys had never had a graduation party thrown for them since they all received their GEDs. With the difficulty of arranging everyone's schedules to get everyone together, the parties got lost in the process. Of course, we also will be celebrating Michael's graduation from boot camp and AIT. Missy also has been very, very busy in the basement cleaning and painting and lots of other stuff. She isn't letting CB or I know what she is creating, so we are very curious. We are respecting her wishes to surprise us, but it is so tempting to sneak down and take a peek! She said it was a big surprise for us. I hope we can get a look soon, however. Stu's been major busy at work and spends almost every waking moment hard at work writing code. I took a look at what he is developing, but I just got more confused. I'm glad he knows what he is doing, because I'm not able to help him at all! I do try (with CB's help) to keep the cat busy, so she won't distract him. CB, Missy, and I spent last week installing walk-through child gates in the living room and in the kitchen. With all the little ones coming this weekend, she wanted to make sure that any potentially dangerous area, like the basement, was off limits to them. The gates have frustrated the cat, however! She isn't able to jump over them, so she has taken to sitting in the kitchen, looking into the living room with longing. Of course, Missy is enjoying not having to clean cat fur off of all the sofas, rugs, and chairs. Well, I better get off here. I can hear Belle playing with her new purple mouse. I've been having fun tossing it for her so that she can "capture" it. See you soon!
lovingly yours,
